nothing
absolutely nothing
makes me feel better
than when my father
refers to me as "son"
i've never been able to explain it
but it's the most honest thing
i could ever write
i've never shared that with him
and i never will
that's what makes it so special
he doesn't realize the impact
therefore
his motivation is always pure
